General Overview

To say Klarth is not a typical Klingon would be an understatement, so it's really not his species that makes him somewhat off putting, it's actually his enthusiasm for medicine. You see there really is only one kind of Klingon that devotes his life to medicine, a fanatic! You see medicine is a field that takes more years of schooling then any other profession and yet carries very little prestige in Klingon culture. In fact his parents practically disowned him when he told them he would be a doctor.

Klarth is fanatical in that he sees Medicine as a more exciting battle then any war. And each new patient is a chance at glory worthy of writing Klingon ballads about.

And so when it turns out a patient doesnt have Rimeryn Fever, but only a common cold, it is a huge let down.

And Klarth loves to tell stories of his past glories in the most graphic way. Which most people find either frightening or disgusting.

He is very loyal to Starfleet and the crew of the Lionheart because they respect him, something very few people in the Klingon Empire ever did.

He practiced medicine on Kronos and on Klingon starships for 10 years. However on a Klingon ship a doctor is seen as little more than a tool and not very respected and so he decided to defect and joining Starfleet. Despite graduating the academy with honors he is still a bit set in his ways.

He is extremely loud and boisterous. He is typically downright jolly.

In his downtime he enjoy drinking and socializing. He is a very extroverted person the idea of spending the night in would rarely appeal to him. He also enjoys participating in any sorts of extreme sports or martial arts. The more dangerous the better.

To a human he might seem like a ferocious fighter do to his strength and midrange knowledge of various hand to hand combat styles, but to a Klingon he is an average fighter at best.

Personal History		During his time away from Starfleet while trying to regain his honor, Klarth served aboard the Klingon vessel, the IKS boQ'a'. They were pirate hunting and answered a distress call from a starfleet vessel, the USS Rogers. Klarth was on a boarding party to aid the Rogers and he was quite taken with the fierceness combat abilities of Science Officer, Lieutenant Mell'Una a felinoids. His fellow Klingons gave her no mind due to how small she is. But Klarth could see from the start that she had the heart of a warrior. The two of them worked together and helped repel the pirate attack. Klarth had only just begun a romantic relationship with S'Lace when he lost his honor....With his honor restored and them serving together on the Lionheart again, Klarth hopes to begin again where they left off.
Service Record		This is Klarth's 4th long term mission for Starfleet and his second as a CMO. After an incident on Lionheart in which Klarth gravely injured someone during an interrogation, he was forced to resign his commission from Starfleet and had to undergo a series of dangerous quests to regain his honor. First he had to perform the lowest of tasks, that he was less than a dog in fact he was stripped of his name and only called "Targ". And then when it was determined he was serious about redemption he was allowed to throw himself into battle to regain his self respect and honor. Doing many dangerous missions on various Klingon ships. His return to Starfleet was made only possible by Chancellor Martok himself interceding on his behalf, as well as Captain Hadenbeer speaking on his behalf.
