Personal History | H'orri was born on Earth in San Francisco Memorial Hospital and grew up a few blocks from the Starfleet and UFP headquarters. As she grew up she was in and out of trouble for fighting until one beat Cop, a Human named Jerome Stevens, convinced her she should go to Starfleet to calm down. She applied to the academy the day after her 18th birthday and based on recommendations from her grandmother and her grandmother's mentor her application was accepted despite her troubled past. H'orri excelled at Academy and learned discipline. As a cadet she joined a research team investigating a Precursor Artifact, an advanced Hard Light Hologram Projector and played a key role in reverse engineering it. Later on her cadet cruise she engaged in a First Contact Mission that became a near disaster. She wound up being the only surviving officer, but somehow she convinced the civilization to open a dialogue with the Federation. Later she she mapped a system near Narenda Station on her first tour after graduation, but an unfortunate confrontation with a superior officer sent her off to a seemingly dead end assignment to Gabriel Station near the Takakazu Void. |
