Junix Qetzal generally avoided anything to do with the medical profession when she could. Though her interest of the day had nothing to do with the medical field, she ventured the halls to find the counselor, R'elle. She sneezed as she neared the counselor's lair as a way of announcement.
"yes, who's there?" R'elle asked.
"It's Commander Qetzal," the XO answered. "If you have time, I'd like to talk about what happened in your quarters?"
"By all means Commander. Please do come in!" R'elle said.
Junix entered the room to find the counselor at her desk. "So, I hear your quarters are a bit of a swamp currently."
"Yes, it is! When I find out who did this, well there will be trouble for them! I am still very upset over what happened." R'elle responded.
"We have a brig for that," Junix replied. "I have the report, but I want to go over it directly with you. What was the first thing you noticed?"
"I remember I was asleep when Lt Alea woke me up! I immediately noticed it was too hot and too humid!" R'elle responded.
"Do you have an idea of how long you had slept for that night?" Junix asked.
"That's half the problem Comander. it was afternoon and I almost never sleep in the afternoon. I don't even remember lying down. Lt Alea was on her way to an appointment with me so I would have been awake under normal circumstances."
"Do you remember what you were doing earlier in the day?" Junix asked.
"Yes mostly seeing patients and putting together notes for the same. Just a typical day really!" R'elle replied.
"Who do you think might have done this?" The first officer stifled another sneeze as she made a quick note on the PADD she had brought along.
"I hate to say it, but my main suspect right now is the captain herself! I hope I'm wrong but she has been acting suspicious lately. There was the missing turbolift. I was ending a session with the captain and did not realize there was an open turbolift shaft behind me. The captain surely saw it but said nothing. It didn't hit me until hours later! I find that very suspicious!" R'elle said.
"You know for certain that the Captain saw the open shaft?" Junix asked. What R'elle described wasn't a prank, it was attempted murder. They would need to proceed very carefully if that was the case.
"I'm fairly sure she did! Not sure if I could prove it but I'm fairly certain she did!" R'elle said
"And you didn't say anything about it to her at the time?" Junix checked.
R'elle shook her head. "It didn't really register until I got back to my quarters. I was still pretty upset over the incident in my quarters!"
Junix squinted and stiffled a sneeze. "Did you report the error to engineering - or security?" She pulled up a list of open service requests while questioning the counselor.
"No I didn't! I probably should have but it's the captain and I am trying to sort out what to do. This whole thing has me kinda shaken up!" R'elle said.
"And you think the Captain destroyed your quarters, too?" she wanted to confirm.
"Well let's say she is my main suspect. Now that I say it out loud, well I don't know. It sounds silly to accuse the captain but there is the turbolift incident!" R'elle said.
Junix opened her mouth to say something more, but the alert klaxons started, interrupting the conversation. "To the bridge," Junix motioned that they should catch the next turbolift.
