A new day, a new ship

Mission: Into The Void
Location: Lionheart

Ull stared in awe at the USS Lionheart. Of course he had seen Chariot class vessels before, but never this close up. Also, it was such a different configuration from the Intrepid class vessels he had spent his years as a Junior Officer and first tour Department Head on.

The pilot set down the shuttle in shuttlebay one. He unloaded his bags and then watched as the shuttle left to go pick up the next round of people, or materials.

Ull let out a low whistle as he looked around the shuttlebay and the traffic that was there. 'So much different than the Intrepid class...'

He was greeted by Ensign Aakan Jun. "Good morning, sir. I am Ensign Aakan Jun, Security Officer here on Lionheart. You must be Lieutenant Commander Ull Arkyn, our new Chief Tactical and Security Officer."

"That I am. Nice to meet you Ensign Aakan." Ull responded with a polite smile. "This is quite the ship. I am excited to see something new." Ull continued.

"If you would follow me, sir. I will take you to your room and you can get yourself settled in." Ensign Aakan said as he grabbed one of Ull's bags and started his way out of the shuttlebay with Ull right behind him with the rest of his bags.

It was a short trip because luckily the Senior Officer's Quarters were all on the same deck as the shuttlebays.

The doors opened to Ull's room and he looked around and took it all in. He had heard that the rooms were smaller than those on other ships, but it didn't bother him at all because he still had a room to himself.

"Thank you, Ensign." Ull said as he took the bag that Ensign Aakan had been carrying. "Let me get settled in and then we can go over getting prepared for launch."

"Sounds good, sir." Ensign Aakan replied and then turned to continue with his duties.

Ull unpacked his things and set up his desk before looking at his terminal. He checked over the reports that had already been filed and checked the names and profiles of the other Department Heads, so he had an idea of who he'd be working with. After a few minutes of reviewing everything the speakers keyed up a song he had never heard before.
'What is that tune?' Ull thought to himself as he made his way up to the bridge to use his terminal to see where the song was being played from.
